FOX & SOYSTER HONORED

In an unprecedented move, the Hollidaysburg Alumni Association, in partnership with the Tiger Football Alumni Committee, unveiled its inaugural 2004 Tiger Football Alumni Team of the Year on Friday, October 22nd, 2004.

Bruce Fox and Ed Soyster, both of the Class of 1953, were honored for their outstanding contributions to a 9-1 season record in the Fall of 1952 (our senior year).  Both men were present for the ceremony, which took place at Tiger Stadium during the half-time of the Hollidaysburg vs Chambersburg football game.  Nine other alumni, selected from years 1939 thru 1975 were also honored.

In addition, Joseph Gallagher was honored for his years of coaching Varsity and Junior Varsity football teams.  Gallagher (our Health teacher and JV Coach) was the Tigers' Junior Varsity coach, then Assistant Varsity Coach before taking over as Head Coach.  Joe compiled a record of 79-37-6.

CONGRATULATIONS, BRUCE AND ED, ON THIS VERY SPECIAL RECOGNITION.  We're proud of you now, as we were then.  In fact, we're proud of our entire Football Team and Basketball Team for their outstanding records.  You made our class a class to be remembered for over 50 years!
